Studio : Computers
PowerMac 7100 80Mhz with extra 1Gb drive for audio Normally I just use the Mac as a spectrum analyser, but when I did a lot of the tracks on this site, it was my main music computer as well. I used Cubase VST 2.0 and very little else then. I hadn't ventured onto the Internet and so had no idea of the knowledge and software that were out there. I wish I had. The PC is borrowed from a friend, and has a modem, so I've now got these new bits of software off the Internet. Unfortunately the soundcard doesn't seem to be very good for using with Cubase – I can't make it play audio and MIDI in time, and the line input is very noisy. It also crashes a lot while I'm recording audio. I've fdisked it and reinstalled it a couple of times but that doesn't help. I should probably give it back and buy myself an Intel PIII. Either that or melt it down and poke it up a horse's arse. With a stick. Computers / Samplers / Synths / Outboard / Desk
