Rhodri Marsden called his new musical thing
'The Free French', in a vain attempt to pretend that it was a real band. Few people
fell for it so he drafted in members of Gag, Scaramanga 6, Spearmint & Pinhead
Nation to plump up his scratchy homegrown sound.
Someone said that the voice sounded like
that bloke from XTC (but in a good way) with a bit of Prefab Sprout and Wire mixed
in - they were all probably right. We'd call it real pop music with a bass, a
musical saw, a broken synth, a computer, a bassoon, and a scratched-to-fuck Telecaster.

album out-take, spot the sample and sue if you dare. A brief vignette, easily downloadable and easily rememberable.

» Swigging Echinacea (3.07)
A brand new, slow building story of taking useless herbal remedies to stave off a cold and go on a date. And at the string laden climax: the date was pointless anyway.
